Hichki is a Hindi word for quicksilver, which is the metal that was used to produce the drug called mercury or quicksilver. It was used in premodern medicine, but it wasn't until the 17th century that doctors start trying to cure people of mercury poisoning using things like fresh air, fruits, vegetables, and laxatives. This blog post will tell you about Hichki. Hichki is an Indian Hindi comedy-drama film directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. Produced by Maneesh Sharma under the Dharma Productions banner, it features Rani Mukerji in the titular role of a teacher with Tourette's syndrome. Manoj Bajpayee played the lead male role, with Anupam Kher, Kumud Mishra, Seema Pahwa, and Deepak Dobriyal playing key supporting roles. The film follows Tanu Shree (Rani Mukerji), who on getting employed as a Mathematics teacher at an Ordinary level school, sets out on a mission to change these children's lives. Music for the film was composed by Rajesh Roshan while lyrics were written by Rashmi Singh. The film was scheduled for release on 26 January 2018, but was postponed to 9 March 2018 following the announcement of the election dates in Karnataka by the Election Commission of India. The film was released globally on Netflix on 31 August 2018. The Hindi version collected over Rs 38 crore in its first week, earning a total worldwide gross of Rs 65 crore at the end of its theatrical run. While shooting for a scene in which Tanu is supposed to touch a student, Rani grazed her hand against a brick wall and suffered a cut. This injury gave Rani the idea of developing Tourette's in the character of Tanu Shree. Aamir Khan, however, suggested that Rani Mukerji should have a look at the role in Hichki in which Ajay Devgn portrayed a teacher with Tourette's syndrome. On 10 August 2016, Rani Mukerji said that Hichki would be her next film after "Pink". Anupam Kher stated that his character, Vinay Pathak is not just someone who speaks with body movements but also has it in his heart to change things for people. The first look of the film was released on 23 February 2017. The teaser trailer for the film was released on 31 March 2017. On 14 July 2017, Rani Mukerji recited a poem by Robert Frost at the London Bridge station to promote Hichki. She also sang a song, composed by Rajesh Roshan for Hichki's soundtrack. The music is composed by Rajesh Roshan. One of the songs, "Ek Pal Chain Na Aave" is adapted from the American folk song "Shady Grove". Rashmi Singh has written all of its five songs including one qawwali, "Naino Mein Sapna". cfa1e77820
